This summer, I’m reaching for drinks that are not only refreshing, but full of natural electrolytes, real fruit, and feel-good ingredients you can easily make at home.

Cucumber Lime Cooler
Crisp, refreshing, immediate revitalization.
1/2 cucumber, sliced
Juice of 1 lime
1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup
2 cups filtered water
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Optional: few mint leaves
Directions: Mix and muddle the ingredients together. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or serve immediately.

Nature’s Gatorade- minus the added sugar
1 cup coconut water
1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp raw honey
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Directions: Mix all ingredients thoroughly together. Refrigerate for 10 mins and serve immediately

1 cup blended watermelon (pulp strained if you prefer)
1/2 cup filtered water
Juice of 1/2 lime

Directions: Mix watermelon juice with remaining ingredients. Serve chilled.

Bright, tangy, and good for digestion
1 cup of pineapple blended (strained)
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Optional: splash of sparking water
Directions: mix pineapple strained juice with remaining ingredients. Let chill for 10 minutes before serving,
5. Strawberry Basil Lemonade
A twist on classic lemonade with fresh berries and herbs
3 strawberries, mashed
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp of honey
2-3 basil leaves
1.5 cups of filtered water
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Directions: Shake or throughly stir all ingredients. Let chill for 10 minutes. You may strain the strawberry pulp if you prefer.
6. Chia Citrus Hydration Water
Chia seeds = natural energy + hydration boost
1 tsp of chia seeds
Juice of 1 orange
1 cup of filtered water
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Directions: mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Let sit for 10 minutes until chia seeds gel.
7. Coconut Cucumber Aloe Cooler
Cooling + calming, perfect for post-sun days.
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup filtered water
1 tbsp aloe vera juice (drinkable grade)
Sliced cucumber
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Directions: combine ingredients. Chill for 10 minutes.
Chia seeds are a good source of omega 3 fatty acids & loaded with antioxidants.
8. Berry Hibiscus Herbal Tonic
Antioxidants and a tart kick in one glass.
1 cup chilled hibiscus tea
Handful of fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries)
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Optional: splash of lemon juice

1 cup cantaloupe or honeydew chunks
1/2 cup ice
Juice of 1/2 lime
Pinch of Celtic sea salt
Directions: blend until smooth. Serve immediately and enjoy.
I enjoyed using mason jars to make these drinks with. The top of the jar is wide enough to easily squeeze the fresh juice into and you can screw the lids on to shake the drinks to incorporate all ingredients. Mason jars make for easy storage in the refrigerator.
